2 Factor Authentication - Strengthen your Security
Two Factor Authentication, also known as 2FA, is a great security measure to take when using any type of software.
Here's why this matters for you:
-
Enhanced Security: With 2FA enabled, your accounts are significantly more secure. Even if someone manages to obtain your password, they won't be able to access your account without the second authentication factor.
-
Protection from Unauthorized Access: 2FA ensures that only you can access your accounts, even if your password is compromised.
-
Peace of Mind: Rest assured knowing that your personal and sensitive information is safeguarded by an additional layer of defense.
What does this mean?
Once 2FA is turned on, you will log in as you always do using your email and password. This screen will pop up. You will then receive a 6 digit code to enter.
**If you have a textable number listed, it means you have your cell listed as your verified number under My Settings/Phones. If you do not have a textable number listed, that means your verified number is a landline. You can leave that landline and receive your 2FA code via email or go in and change it.
Please note: the verified number is used for other things like telephony or receiving a callback, so you do not have to change it to a textable number.
How do I turn off two factor authentication? (We do not recommend)
Please do not turn the feature off. If you must do so, make sure you have a very strong password. Only Owners have the ability to turn the feature off. Please note: this will require all users enter a code verification upon logging in.
If you are an account Owner> go to Settings
Click on the 2FA tab, then click the “Enable 2FA “box" and "Save Settings". If you ever want to turn it off, simply uncheck the box and save again.
As always, please let us know if you have any questions.
