Delivering a Vehicle
How to change the status of an up sheet after a customer purchases.
Logging a Vehicle Delivery in AutoRaptor
AutoRaptor is designed to help you successfully sell vehicles and maintain accurate records. Properly logging a delivery ensures that all reports are accurate and provides the dealership and yourself with a long-term follow-up plan, which is crucial for maintaining customer relationships. After all, it's much easier to keep an existing customer than to acquire a new one, right?
How Does It Work?
Add a Vehicle
Add a Vehicle: Make sure you have added a vehicle to the up sheet. You can add multiple vehicles if needed. Click "Add Vehicle" and start typing in the search box. The search runs in real-time as you type. There are two scenarios here:
-
Vehicle in Inventory: If the vehicle the customer wants is in your inventory, type in keywords until the vehicle is found. Click "Add" to add the vehicle to the up sheet.
-
Vehicle Not in Inventory: If the vehicle the customer wants is not in inventory, "custom" text will appear instead of a stock number. Use the "custom" feature to create custom vehicles, which is useful for describing what type of vehicle the customer wants even if a perfect match isn't currently available.

Deliver the Vehicle
Deliver the Vehicle: When the customer leaves with their purchased car, the deal is considered "delivered."
-
Using the Status dropdown, select "Delivered." If the customer has left a deposit, the dealership is preparing the vehicle, or there are other pending tasks, move the up sheet to "Sold" status.
-
A pop-up will appear. You can edit the dates if necessary, then click "Confirm this Delivery."

Follow-Up Tasks: Check your task section. You will now see a new set of tasks reminding you to stay in contact with your delivered customers. This follow-up is essential for potential future sales and earning referral business.
By following these steps, you can ensure that all deliveries are logged accurately and that you maintain strong relationships with your customers, leading to more successful sales in the future.
